The Challenge
The existing sliding door had become faulty and was allowing water to leak into the home, resulting in moisture damage around the doorway and compromising the integrity of the surrounding area. Before the new door could be installed, the affected subfloor required reinforcement to restore its strength and provide a solid, level foundation for the replacement door. The challenge was to properly address the underlying damage while ensuring the new sliding door would be securely installed and provide a reliable, watertight seal.
The Craft
Our team carefully removed the faulty sliding door and addressed the underlying water-damaged areas. The subfloor was reinforced to restore strength and stability, creating a solid foundation for the new installation. We then installed the replacement sliding door, properly secured and sealed it, and finished the surrounding area to help prevent future water intrusion while ensuring a clean, durable result.
